A short resume from the familyhistory : Around the year 1500 ,in the register from the st-Gertrudis brotherhood a Jan Pijpelinckx living in Hasselt (B) and his wife Ida Stas, a Eustachius Pijpelinckx from Kuringen and a Hendrik Pijpelinckx (carpettrader) and his wife Clara Touvion (alias Colijn) are registered Also their deceased old mother Aleydis Stas is mentioned.Hendrik (alias : de Pijp) was born in Kuringen near Hasselt and on august 8 1544 he was registered as citizen of Antwerpen. He had a brother Dionys and a unlawful son Jan.

The register from the st Gertrudis brotherhood tells us that on May 6 1541, Hendrik and Dionys Pijp,Beatrix Pijp,Margriet Pijp and Jan Pijp Hendriks his natural son Jan are registered in the brotherhood. In the archives from the city of Hasselt we found 2 x Jan Pijpelinckx who their wifes had strangely the same names. They were daughters from a distinct family :Typots,Typoets,Stas alias Typoets. So the Pijpelinckx who was found around 1450,was probably married to Ida Aleydis Stas and his son with Maria Typoets.

All this information comes from the magazine "De Vlaamse Stam" and i've only mentioned the most important info here.We are not 100 % sure on this, but one thing is sure,Maria Pijpelinckx is born in Antwerpen on March 3 1538 as daughter from Hendrik Pijpelinckx and Clara Touvion alias Colijn and she was married to Rubens, the father from Pieter Paul Rubens, the famous painter. Also there is a street in Antwerpen mentioned to Maria, the Maria Pijpelinckx street.

In this street in 1974 i've had the idea to search for the ancestors of my husband Jan Jacobus Pijpelink. This Maria also had a brother Jan and a sister Suzanna, this is mentioned on the wall of the Rubens house on the Meir (street) in Antwerpen. If we look at the Pijpelinckx in Hasselt,we see that a Jan Pijpelinckx sold the Inn "The house The Hoogbrugge" on the Grote Markt ,thesedays it's the Inn "Majestic". He was the Husband from Maria Typoets, granddaughter from Hendrik Typoets(alderman from Hasselt). We don't know if the brother from Maria his name was Jan Hendrik, but we know that around that time A Jan Hendriks Pijpelinckx moved to Nieuwerkerk (NL),we hope to find out one day where he came from !

Also the Pijpelinks at Nieuwerkerk and Dreischor are probably connected to aechother because they were sponsors at the baptisme from their mutual children. In Nieuwerkerk in the provence of Zeeland (NL) we find a Jan Hendrik who is born around 1530 and married around 1560. Around Antwerpen there's a Pipping or Pippelings found who was born in Kallo(near Antwerpen) and lived in the polder from Lillo.Later on he moved to Biervliet(NL) and was married there, but we don't know if they have anything to do with our family Pijpelink. So nothing from these sources say it's sure we are related to them.

One thing is 100 % sure, and that is that we are descendants from Jan Hendriks Pijpelink from Nieuwerkerk and Dreischor. Also they must have been a distinct family around there at that time.We know that Adriaan Pijpelink his daughter was married to Lucas Qurijns van der Have,a notary in public. Also the Pijpelinks had a lot of land in Dreischor..Trough Zierikzee and Biervliet the Pijpelinks have settled in Zeeuws Vlaanderen(A part of The Netherlands below the Westerschelde river at the belgium border).Everybody who have the name Pijpelink thesedays is a descendant from Jan Pijpelink born on March 20 1792 at Zierikzee

The investigation to our ancestors is not finshed yet and it's Jaap Pijpelink living in The Philippines who took the huge job on him to put our familytree on internet where i like to thank him for.
